Location & Accessibility

Facility: Located in Sparta, the enclosed shelter at Long Lake Park features an open, cathedral-style interior finished with light wood and a large fireplace. The building sits on the east side of Long Lake in a large grassy area surrounded by mature oak trees. There are covered porches, one with a view of the lake. There is seating available indoors and outdoors.

Parking: Handicap parking is available and in close proximity to the door. There is a nicely paved, level, sidewalk leading from the parking lot to the building.

Restrooms: The Enclosed Shelter restrooms are large and accessible. There are ADA compliant, barrier-free, facilities available in both restrooms.

Temperature: The forecast is predicting a bright, clear sky with a high of 77 degrees and a low of 50. It should be a beautiful day. The indoor fireplace may be active, temperature depending.

Long Lake Park is 10 minutes outside of Cedar Springs. Upon navigating to the park, you will turn off of 17 Mile Rd SE onto Krauskopf Rd NE.

Krauskopf will take you down a gorgeous, tree covered drive for a half mile until you reach the building.

Thank you to everyone who has offered support of any kind during this difficult time. We appreciate you immensely.

A message from Kari:

Greetings friends and family. If you know me at all I would hope you would know that I am always one to freely share anything that I may have and that I very rarely ask for help with anything. That being said Aaron and I are in a position that we just need a little help. Throughout this year with Aaron getting sick frequently and multiple car repairs needed on top of the move things were a little bit tight but manageable. Now that Aaron is home on hospice care and we are still waiting for anything from disability it's been a bit of a bigger struggle. We still have two vehicles that need repair which leaves us without any type of back up. I am already overwhelmed with all that have reached out and offered to help, those who have brought groceries, dinners, taken care of Geovanny and especially the many words of encouragement, the hugs, the prayers and the shared tears. That being said, if you are able and have it in your heart to help us out during this heartbreaking and difficult time it would be so very appreciated.

Much Love!

"Thank you to anyone that has prayed... and those who have helped out in ANY way. It means the world to me and my family"

~ Jessica
